Susphos is specialized in the Recycling of phosphates from several waste streams

Phosphorus is an essential element for life and for many industries, used in fertilizers, flame retardants and many other chemical products. Today, all phosphorus in the high-end markets come from fossil phosphate mines, almost all located outside of Europe. Europe hardly has any mines and is for 90% dependent on the supply of this vital element from elsewhere.

However, the potential for local phosphate is in our sewage- and agricultural wastewater. With the SusPhos process, we can convert phosphate-rich waste streams into recycled, economically attractive and high-quality products for a real market need. Furthermore, the process has a low CO2 footprint.
